The Gender Section of the Office of the Secretary General (OSG) supports the efforts of the OSCE Secretary General to promote a continuous and sustainable gender mainstreaming process across the Organization and the full implementation of the 2004 Action Plan for the Promotion of Gender Equality, as well as other gender-related commitments undertaken by the OSCE participating States. It assists and advises the OSCE structures in the implementation of the Action Plan by providing technical assistance for the mainstreaming of gender in all activities, policies, programmes and projects. The WIN project aims to accelerate the implementation of the OSCE 2004 Action Plan by developing sustainable capacity in the area of gender equality and comprehensive security in selected pS in a close coordination and cooperation with OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and other Executive Structures. Furthermore, it will contribute to; strengthening networks of women and men supporting gender equality, and empowering women to participate in a number of areas, such as conflict prevention. The Gender Section is looking for a Consultant to map and analyze mentoring programmes, internal and external to the organization, aimed at reinforcing women’s leadership skills and gender equality in the areas of law enforcement, economic participation, water management, police, border security, digital participation, anticorruption and gender-based violence (GBV). The selected Consultant should document lessons learned and good practices and draft the Terms of References (ToRs) for a call to service providers to design new mentoring programmes for the WIN project. The Consultant will work under overall supervision of the Senior Gender Adviser of the Gender Section and the direct guidance of the interim-project manager of the WIN Project and in close consultation with Senior Co-ordination Adviser and Gender Advisers. Regular exchanges with WIN project’s Communications and Knowledge Management consultants will be an integral part of this consultancy. The Consultant will conduct interviews and consultations (remotely) with selected key informants for the development of the deliverables listed for this assignment. Qualifications, Experience and Language skills Master’s Degree Advanced university degree in nuclear, mechanical or chemical engineering or in a related technical discipline. A minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience in nuclear power, development of non-electric applications of nuclear power, including experience at the international level. Comprehensive experience in the management of scientific projects. Experience of working in a national/international nuclear organization or institute desirable. Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
