Backend .NET Technical Lead (m/f/d)
We are looking for a solid .Net backend developer that has the right technical skills and attitude to be the Technical Lead for a team of 4-5 senior .Net backend developers. The team is responsible for the continuous development and architectural evolution of a suite of modern backend services supporting key areas of our business. The existing services have recent and modern code bases and use modern frameworks and tools; you will contribute with design and architectural decisions, creating new services where necessary and working side-by side with the developers and closely with the Architecture team to deliver the business requirements. We are very open to new ideas and approaches to solving problems efficiently and pragmatically. We focus on using tools and frameworks that enhance the end products, and we strive to be more efficient and deliver quality products. We continuously enhance our architecture to be more scalable and therefore we often create specialized and decoupled services as well as an internal suite of NuGet packages. We are looking for enthusiastic and engaged people, who already have solid fundamentals. Since technologies are changing fast, specific frameworks experience is not a must; primarily we are looking for the right principles, working attitude and approach to solving problems and delivering the right and pragmatic solutions. YOUR TASKS Close collaboration with the rest of the team (design, coding, reviews) and the Solution Architects to achieve a clean Service Oriented Architecture Translate this architecture into designs and then into solid .Net code, with a lot of room for creative solutions Internalize our solid principles and guidelines (and contribute to the evolution of those) and ensure their application throughout the products Support the consumers of our services and the technical support team Active participation in meetings as well as presenting new suggestions, strategies, technologies and ideas YOUR PROFILE Completed higher technical education or similar Minimum 5 years of solid work experience in software development Very good communicational skills as well as a very good command of both spoken and written English A passion for Software Development A pragmatic mindset, with ability to find the right compromises between conflicting requirements (business delivery vs. technical aspects: maintainability, quality, availability, etc.) Very interested in modern .Net frameworks and libraries (.Net Core, various NuGet packages, etc.) Experience in the development of.NET backend applications in C#, ideally with .Net Core (web services and Windows Services) Professional experience with SQL (ideally on SQL Server 2012, at application developer level, not DB developer level) C#: advanced level, 3 years .Net Core, ideally 3.1 or later, especially Dependency Injection and ASP.Net Core Web API: advanced level, 1 years Unit testing in .Net, with popular frameworks (XUnit / NUnit), including related frameworks (MOQ / NSubstitute / Autofixture): advanced level, 1 years SOLID principles Git: pretty solid, 1 years Some CI/CD experience with popular tools, ideally Azure DevOps / YAML Some experience working in a Scrum team Nice to have, in order of importance: Some experience with messaging systems / message brokers (ideally ActiveMQ) Familiarity with common .Net libraries such as: Serilog, Dapper, Newtonsoft Json, Swagger, Autofac, Autofixture, ReFit, Polly Experience with large scale multi-user systems (high availability, high concurrency, high load) Application deployment and hosting in IIS / Kestrel / Kubernetes (K8) Some experience with Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps OUR OFFER Challenging tasks in a successful and innovative company based in a central location in Vienna Opportunities for personal development as part of the company’s sustained growth A welcoming working environment in a committed and international team of employees from more than 30 countries Flexible working hours and numerous benefits such as an in-house canteen, regular employee events, health care benefits, further local employee offers and discounts, etc. Extensive training by mentors Reimbursement of additional travel costs for an interview and support with any necessary relocation from abroad Our employees are our most valuable asset, which is why we honour their exceptional work with not only a variety of benefits, but also a very competitive salary.
